Tom Hamilton, the borough”s human resources/risk manager, said he didn”t even have to advertise for jobs this year and the applications poured in.’My feeling was that we would have had hundreds,’ he said.Carlisle hired nine non-pool workers for the summer - four college and five high school students - which is the seasonal average, Hamilton said.In total, about 50 employees were hired by the parks and recreation department, with approximately 60 percent of those for the community pool, said Andrea Crouse, the department”s director.
